    Goal, potential objective: Prevent flodding, water stock for dry periods

    Developmental steps: Select suitable area, feasibility study, design, arrangement with the owners

    Instruments, implementation mechanism: Land use plans, incentives, tax reduction for temporary flooding

    Area of implementation: Rural

    Responsibilities: Starting with local administration and owners, water management bodies on the levels required

    Time horizon: Medium term

    Economic aspects: Implementation costs are lower than damage costs, fewer social costs

    Promoters, obstacles, risks: Possibility of hydrological problems

    Side effects: Touristic interests, economic benefits, integration in urban development, nature protection, lagoon festivals

    Bridge to mitigation: Combination with hydro power production
